Will Legendary rely on Toho monsters or original monsters going forward?

Doubt it. Those contracts are fuckin expensive and strict. I would rather they continue on with their original Kaijus. We still have not seen most of them and the ones we have are pretty cool. If they are going to bring anyone in, it will probably be Destoyah in the final Godzilla movie as they did bring in the oxygen destroyer. That’s my guess, but any movie before that should utilize the monster they already have or planned because it would be a waste if not.

Personally, I'd love to see both, a mix of classic monsters and new monsters.

Mix up the IP and the OGs, more cool stuff that way.

Godzilla wanted to assert his dominance, he didn’t actually want Kong dead. That’s the whole deal with Godzilla putting his foot on Kong’s chest, just as he did Ghidorah “I could kill you right now, but do I need to?”
