MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 2:13 AMHELLO EVERYONE!,
what godzilla costume do you guys think the 2016 godzilla costume will look like more than the others ?
I really think he will look like the godzilla 2000 costume because its one of the most modern japanese godzilla costume.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 9:21 AMI bet he looks a lot like the CG version. They had some amazing statues of Godzilla done to promote the G2014 film in Japan, probably done before G was finalized for the film. They looked like a wonderful blend of the cg-G and a new modern suit, to me. I bet they stick to that look. But part of the fun of a new G film is anticipating what G's appearance will be like!

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 9:38 AMI hope it might look like 2002 goji
I don't know what to put here

The gigan
MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 11:39 AMProbaly a mixture of heisi godzilla and godzilla 2000 if there is a guy in a suit. For allwe know it all could be cgi.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 11:42 AMI'm hooping for a Godzilla 2000 type of look or anything millenuim.(Defently misspelled)
But I'm still open for a completly new type of look to goji as long as it still fells like goji. Also welcome to the fourm "The Gigan".

Sci-Fi King25
MemberGiganMar-04-2015 12:34 PMI'm thinking a blend of Legendary and Toho design.
“Banana oil.”- George Takei, Gigantis: The Fire Monster

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 2:16 PMI wouldn't be surprised if the new suit incorporated some more 'realistic' elements, such as clearly defined scales and plating.

MemberBaragonMar-04-2015 3:23 PMToho seems to really like tthe KiryuGoji design so I could see a lot of inspiration coming from that

AdminGodzillaMar-04-2015 6:06 PMSci-Fi King25,
That's pretty vague since there are 13 different Toho "designs" and several variations off of many of those suit designs. Saying, "a blend of Legendary and Toho design" is like saying people want the next James Bond actor to be, "a blend of Daniel Craig and old James Bond actors". That doesn't really narrow anything down.
In any case I assume Toho will emulate the Legendary design in their own sort of way. It won't be the same, but I have a feeling they'll take aspects from it and create something new out of it.

Something Real
MemberGodzillaMar-04-2015 7:53 PMGODZILLA 2014 AND FRIENDS - Welcome to SCIFIED! It is quite agreeable to see new faces! As for your question: I hope that the 2016 suit is something new and interesting - with aspects drawn from the most memorable Godzilla iterations! However, I am hoping that it stays Godzilla; I do not want anything too hyper-realistic. In the end, I would like the new Godzilla to be fantastic in appearance, but very much Suitmation! Thank you so much for posing this very fun and interesting question! :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 8:01 PMI'll tell you what I hope he doesn't look like - Millenium, GMK, and Final Wars. Last time the suit looked even remotely realistic/great was early heisei until they redid it for Godzilla vs Mothra.

ZillaForLife
MemberMothra LarvaeMar-04-2015 9:49 PMSomething along the lines of a late-Heisei/early Millenium combination with bits and pieces of the Legendary design. A Franenstein's Monster of godzilla designs really.

Godzillatheking123
MemberBaragonMar-05-2015 1:10 AMI say keep a vaguely millenium-look but ramp up the "realism" of the design (i.e. more detailed skin texture, more mobile jaw and eye movement, general movement of the monster and the angle it is shot etc).

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-05-2015 8:37 AMi just hope if they do take from the 2014 desing his snout isn't that square.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-05-2015 10:01 AMI would like to see either: (1) an updated and improved Bio-Goji, or (2) something very close to, but not exactly like, the Mosu-Goji, or (3) an updated version of the Shodai-Goji.
If the design is similar to and based on the Bio-Goji, I would like to see the suit streamlined in the area of the thighs, with the sagging removed from the lower leg area. I really liked the musculature of the Ghido-Goji. So, something along the lines of the Bio-Goji or Ghido-Goji suits would be fine with me.
The Mosu-Goji design, is, in my opinion, one of the best of the series.
The Shodai-Goji is, of course, the one that launched the series and genre. An updated version of this would be most welcomed.
The 2016 suit would not have to look exactly like these designs, but resemble them to the point that the influence of them would be plain to see.

Super Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeMar-05-2015 11:21 PMI really enjoyed the 2014 design, but I would like to see the larger and tinted spines that the many suits had. The jagged ones from the 2000 would fit nicely I think, of course fade the colors to blend in a little bit.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2015 6:56 PMI loved the 2014 design, but since this is a Toho film I would prefer one that looked more like the original designs. I think the American Godzilla is best suited for the American movies, but that's just me.
Also, I hope Godzilla is not CGI. There's going to be a sequel to the 2014 movie and that will be CGI, which is perfectly fine for the American movies but for a Toho movie I would like to see the suits again. Honestly, when I heard about the new Japanese film one thing that made me happy was the idea of seeing either an old or new Godzilla suit in a new movie after so long.
That said, the Godzilla 2000 design is cool and if that turns out to be the one they use, I will be happy.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2015 8:55 PMI'd love for the new Toho Godzilla to looks something similar to GyakushuGoji:
"Daddy's home- cake every night,"

Codzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2015 9:22 PMPerhaps a blend of Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla 2014. I just hope they don't alter his look too much. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
