It's sad to lose another veteran of the kaiju genre, especially after losing Koichi Kawakita not long ago. While I must say I was never the biggest fan of Manabe's scores for Godzilla vs. Hedorah and Godzilla vs. Megalon, I appreciated what he brought to the series and I can say he will be missed by Godzilla fans.

We are only the temporary custodians of the matter - the particles - that compose our living forms. However, the energy that gives that matter life is ours eternally. Mandabe's physical form may have passed away, by his creative spirit and thoughts will resound for eternity.

Manabe's work will remain with us forever... He is truly in a better place now, and a place where he will finally hear all our voices expressing the love and respect we have for his work.
