True American Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-16-2014 7:43 AMI began pondering, if Gareth Edwards had a re-imagined kaiju as the enemy, who would it be?
EDIT: After looking at the comments made by some of the forum members, and looking up Biollante (for I never saw the movie with her) I have to agree that she could work. Thus I'm changing the focus of this thread. Below is one amazing artwork made by BlackMatter234
Here's the artist's comments to the piece... "The Arrogance of man thinking nature is in their control. Pshhhhh it's definitely the other way around when it comes down to nature sending out monsters like Godzilla and every monster he fights for consequence of mans mistakes.
Anyways If they had to make a sequel for the 2014 Godzilla movie with a classic toho monster that Godzilla can go up against (wishing on a star for them to), i want to see Biollante.
1. it fits the theme of man screwing with nature only to pay the consequences
2. She is a bad ass monster with alot possiblites to develop a good story with multiple situations involving strugle against godzilla and a devastating impact against humans.
Can any other Godzilla enemy/ ally be able to accomplish this? Yes. I can see possibilities with mothra, anguirus, king ghidorah, rodan, kumanga and many more. But main reason I chose Biollante....
3. godzilla vs biolante is my favorite godzilla movie, so sue me! "
To me, as for a new origin story for Biollante, it could literally represent man's efforts to control nature. Thanks to some of the MUTO remains, and a brilliant genitics expert with a thing for plants, they made Biollante in hopes to "control nature/global climate better"... naturally losing control of it later and still being arrogant.
What do you think? How would you have a redesigned Biollante in a future film?
